About Me
I have been a resident of Vienna, Austria for 10 years now, and I have been gathering academic and professional experience in the field of language acquisition and teaching for over 12 years. I am originally from Missouri in the United States and moved to Europe over a decade ago, thus beginning my adventure as a language teacher.

After completing two undergraduate degrees from the University of Missouri in 2010, I taught at an elementary school in North Carolina as a teaching assistant. Afterwards, I moved to Berlin where I worked as an English teacher and teaching assistant at numerous schools, kindergartens and language institutes. In addition, I was a counselor for English language camps in Berlin and northern Germany.
Since moving to Vienna in 2013, I have completed a master's degree in German as a Foreign and Second Language (MA) from the University of Vienna, earned my TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certification, and enrolled at a teacher education program (BAfEP) to become a fully certified kindergarten and after-school teacher in Austria. During this time, I taught English at the kindergarten level, including spearheading the language program at a bilingual kindergarten in Vienna. I currently work at a bilingual primary school as an English teacher and teaching assistant. Furthermore, I am raising my three-year-old son bilingually (English/German).
